3rd Cyber Security session slated for next week
The Namibia Scientific Society will host its third session of its Cyber Security for Small Businesses talk series, on 28 April at 19:00 at their headquarters in Windhoek. The society said the sessions open to the public are designed specifically for all Namibians who want practical, non-technical guidance that can be applied immediately, and they will be streamed via Zoom at They added that this week they will be focusing on Email and Account Security, exploring why email is the main entry point of cyber attacks. “We will also be focusing on how to better protect yourself by spotting phishing attempts, handling links and attachments safely, and strengthening your passwords and account security habits.” The society emphasised that ex-intelligence officer for the South African Police and cyber security expert, Andrew Fordred, will present the session and will include practical, real-world guidance you can apply immediately.
“He will guide attendees through clear, human centred cyber security awareness tailored for the Namibian small business environment,” they concluded.
