Mass Shooting at Union Township Chick-fil-A Leaves One Dead, Multiple Injured

Union Township (Union) is grappling with a Saturday-night shooting at a busy Chick-fil-A that left at least one person dead and several others wounded.

Authorities investigating the incident said it unfolded around 8:40 p.m. at a Chick-fil-A location along Route 22. Preliminarily, a barrage of gunfire erupted inside or near the crowded establishment, turning the evening into a chaotic scramble for safety.

Responding officers secured the scene and found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Officials confirmed that at least six people were shot during the incident. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other injured were taken to nearby hospitals.

What happens next is still uncertain. The conditions of the hospitalized victims have not been publicly released. And while the Union County Prosecutor’s Office is leading the investigation, officials have not yet provided details on a suspect, any possible motive, or whether anyone has been taken into custody.

For now, this is an active, ongoing inquiry. “This remains a developing story,” USA NEWS HUB MISRYOUM reported, with updates expected as more information becomes available.
