Prince George Cougars hit with WHL fine and player suspension before facing off against the Penticton Vees Cougars get fine, suspension UPDATE: 2:45 p.m. The Prince George Cougars got a slap on the wrist from the WHL before their big showdown in Penticton on Friday. The team was fined $1500 for security versus Penticton on Wednesday, the game that saw upset Cougars fans chucking beer cans and other items onto the ice from penalty calls.

The WHL also gave Aiden Foster a two-game suspension, stating it was "for checking to the head and game misconduct" during the same game on April 15. The Vees and Cougars face off tonight at the SOEC, with puck drop at 7:05 p.m. ORIGINAL: 8:50 a.m.

It's game day in Penticton! Round two of the Penticton Vees' historic first ever WHL playoff run continues Friday evening at the South Okanagan Events Centre. The Vees are hoping to keep up momentum after two epic wins on the road in Prince George.
